TONIC is a full service agency founded in Dubai in 2004, known for its creative advertising strategies, effective branding, digital marketing and media buying.
TONIC started as a small independent creative agency with a big dream: to shake up advertising in the Middle East. Our vision is not to be the biggest – but to be the best in what we do.
As Dubai grew, the media landscape evolved, and the needs of our clients exploded, so did our expertise. We are one of the creative agencies in Dubai that offers a full suite of integrated solutions. Think of us as an advertising agency, a branding agency, a digital agency, a retail agency and a media agency in one.
Our team consists of 50 people from 27 nationalities. Great ideas unify everyone at here. Ideas that add to your brand’s story, creating conversations and positive actions. Ideas that disrupt. We believe instead of deciding and agreeing on mediums and channels, the idea should be at the core of everything we do and from there we find the best channel and use the best tactics to communicate the message.

Once we work out the brief, we share it with people from different disciplines and backgrounds, who bring with them unique perspectives to solve the client’s business and marketing needs.

Despite having people from different disciplines working together, you, as a client, will only have one point of contact – a well-dressed man or woman from the client-servicing department. We call them “the suits”. They are your brand custodians, your voice in the agency. They have complete understanding of your business and marketing objectives. They are your link in the agency and the different departments.
Because we can’t do everything by ourselves, we are collaborative by nature. We work with a list of preferred partner agencies and suppliers – be it a film production house, printer, or a programmer – to deliver the work.
Getting the work out doesn’t mean the work is done. After a campaign launches, monitoring and measurement is done across all communication vehicles. We look at brand lift, brand recall, sales, awareness leads, traffic, conversation and so on. In simple words, we are able to calculate for you how much return you are getting for every dollar invested. We believe in effective communications. Your success is ours too.
Of course, you can’t judge an agency simply by its ability to create effective ideas. Let’s not forget the people who work behind the scene – the administration department. They are the ones who handle the finance and other admin work. Here, administration is centralised to maximise efficiency and accelerate the process.
Led by Joao Camacho, the advertising department handles all your communications needs – from launching a new product or service to getting your target audience to fall in love with your brand. Our solutions are integrated and take advantage of every available traditional and non-traditional media. Be it a newspaper advertisement, an experiential event, or a piece of billboard advertising on the moon.
Led by Mamta Varerkar, the digital department works closely with the advertising department. In fact, there isn’t a distinct line that separates the two. Our digital team handles all things to do with the social media marketing, online marketing, web design and mobile advertising.
Led Scott Clephane, Tonic branding was created in 2008. When it comes to creating an engaging brand story – and making it looks stunning – they are the people to go to. They are well versed in all the sub disciplines of graphic design, from the use of typography to creation of a timeless logo. Tonic branding has been responsible for launching several award-winning brands in the region.
Led by Jacqui Hewett, Tonic Media is our media planning and buying arm. At Tonic, we do not treat media as an after thought. Media strategy plays an integral role in every the campaign we create. It answers questions like which radio channel to use? TV station? Which shopping mall should we launch the activation? Is the answer Programmatic display banners? Always ensuring that the campaign reaches the right people, at the right place and at the right time.
